Terms & Conditions

By enrolling in the Loving Earth Compost Saratoga Farmers Market Drop-Off Program, you agree to the following terms:

1. Membership & Access

This program is a seasonal compost drop-off membership valid for the current market season (May–October).

Membership provides access to designated compost bins located at Saratoga Farmers Market (High Rock Park) during market hours only:

• Wednesdays (3–6 PM)
• Saturdays (9 AM–1 PM)

Access is restricted to registered, paying members.

2. Payment & Refund Policy

• Membership is a one-time payment for the full season
• All payments are non-refundable
• Memberships are non-transferable without prior approval

3. Proper Use of Compost System

Members agree to use the compost system responsibly and follow all posted guidelines.

Accepted materials include:

• Fruit and vegetable scraps
• Coffee grounds, tea, eggshells
• Bread and grains
• Flowers and plant material
• Small amounts of meat and dairy

Prohibited materials include (but are not limited to):

• Plastics or trash
• Pet waste
• Liquids
• Non-compostable packaging
• Hazardous or non-organic materials

4. Contamination & Misuse

To maintain a clean and effective composting system:

• Members must follow all guidelines and signage
• Repeated contamination or misuse may result in revocation of access without refund
• Loving Earth Compost reserves the right to update guidelines as needed

5. Access Control

• Compost bins may be secured with a lock system
• Members will be provided with access instructions after registration
• Sharing access with non-members is not permitted

6. Program Changes

Loving Earth Compost reserves the right to:

• Adjust bin capacity or placement
• Modify accepted materials
• Update procedures to improve operations

All changes will be communicated to members when possible.

7. Liability

Members participate at their own risk. Loving Earth Compost is not responsible for:

• Personal injury at the drop-off site
• Improper use of the compost system
• Lost or damaged personal property

8. Community Responsibility

This program is designed to support a clean, respectful, and community-oriented composting system.

Members agree to:

• Use the system thoughtfully
• Follow instructions provided
• Help maintain a positive experience for all participants
